We are very happy to announce our Annual Play-A-Thon will be on to be announced. The Play-A-Thon will be held at Elmhurst College, they have generously donated their facilities again this year. Elmhurst College will be giving tours of the college, and information about tuition, grants and scholarships to Play-a-thon participants. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and students to visit and perform at a college.
Thanks to the teachers and students the past three years for helping make the play-a-thon a success we have been able to give larger scholarships. In the past we have had to rely solely on T-shirts sales and donations.
We need your help and the future college scholarship recipients need your help. We hope we can count on you to encourage your students to participate, reminding them that one day they may be eligible to benefit from the scholarship fund. The continuation of the IMA Scholarship Foundation depends on support from all of us.

REQUIREMENTS
Students of all ages and levels from IMA participating teachers and schools are encouraged to participate. Solos, Duets as well as Ensembles are accepted. Each student or entry may play one selection no longer than 5 minutes maximum length. Although the composition need not be memorized, the selection should be at a performance standard.
By July 2nd each teacher should mail a list of the students who will be participating with their names as they will appear on their certificates and in the program, their instrument, selection and the composer, and then an approximate time period needed for all of your students to perform. A form has been provided for this purpose. If you will not be available to supervise your students, a parent, teacher or adult should be put in charge of your group. Teachers will be notified of the time their students have been assigned to play.
Each student will turn in on the day of the performance all the money they have collected. All certificates will be awarded to each student that day as well as some of the awards earned. Arrangements may have to be made to deliver the larger incentive awards. There are no entry fees or admission costs, so anyone can attend.
SIGN-UP
The Scholarship Committee will set-up a "Play-A-Thon" information table at the contest. Students will have the opportunity to sign-up at that time.
